The Story
Before Susilo, my creative life moved through soundstages, not itineraries. Years in the film and television industry — camera department work on productions for major studios and networks, including Greenleaf, MacGyver, and Hidden Figures, across Warner Bros. Discovery and Tyler Perry Studios — taught me, frame by frame, how to build a world someone wants to stay inside of. That instinct never left. It simply changed mediums.
Somewhere between sets, I found jazz clubs and music venues in cities I traveled to alone, on purpose. Solo travel became less about seeing everything and more about listening — for the right room, the right set, the right city after dark. That habit shaped how I now design journeys for other people: not itineraries built from a checklist, but an instinct for where you should be standing when the room gets good.
Today I design travel as a luxury advisor affiliated with Fora Travel and Virtuoso — with the access, partnerships, and rates that turn a good trip into an exceptional one. Susilo is where those two lives meet: the eye trained on set, the ear trained in jazz rooms from Philadelphia to New Orleans, both in service of your next journey.
